another art.xD
well I started it yesterday.
Sooo
this is a fanart/gift for
of her amazing character Deisel.I love Deisel, she's fun to draw.
well the only things that were pretty hard were the flat colouring and rocks.(1 only ;D )
flat colouring because, you see the fur, and plus the canvas was quite big, 3000 on something.
I wanted the lineart to be thin.
And the rock was a real pain.D|
though I didn't wanted to make one more rock like this, so I copied the 1st one, and changed it's shape a bit so it doesn't look exactly the same lol. |D
and surprisingly, the water was easy.
I always knew that water should be more transparent like,
and yesterday I think, wehen I saw the river it was like that, so when I did the waterfalls and rivers on this drawing I made the opacity on quite a small amount.xD and yay.The only thing I don't like a lot is the ground.
I suck at doing rocky grounds.D:
And of course, I love the shading lol.xD

Overall Vision Originality Technique ImpactI saw your journal about how you're trying to improve, so I thought I'd write you a critique to help C:
Firstly, I love this picture ^^ The character looks so crisp and detailed, with great colours...and I love the feel of the background, with all the watery mist and whatnot <333
But let me just nitpick at two little things~
Character shading: It's great to include all that little detail of highlights in the fur, but it gets confusing when you do it EVERYWHERE...just in a couple/few carefully selected places is enough. When it's evenly spread we start to wonder where on earth is the light source that could possibly create that effect?
I notice the Sun is behind the character, and because it's quite a bit above the charries back, the back would get quite a lot of the sunlight C: The muzzle and under the eye, however, would not. I'm not sure why you've shaded it like that when everything els is darker coloured, it's pretty much impossible for the lighting to do that.
The background - The thing is, your character is so crisp and clean, but the background is just all blurry, it needs some areas which are precious and detailed, just like you've done with the character :3 I recommend making the forground (the land, grass, and water down the bottom) clean and detailed so the focus is on the forground. It would add so much to the image.
These are just little things, but I think they could help you a lot! ^^ Not just for this drawing, but they are ideas which will apply to most of your work! 8D Anyway, great effort, I love the colours and your style, keep it up.
